Privacy Policy — Electronics Toolkit & Calculator
Last updated: 2026-09-14 · App: Electronics Toolkit & Calculator (com.electronicstoolkit.calculator)
Summary
Electronics Toolkit & Calculator is an offline-first electronics calculator. Core calculations run on your device. Optional Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded) and optional Firebase Remote Config may use network access when available.
The app does not use Google Play Billing or in-app purchases. Optional ad-free time and specialist-tool unlocks use an on-device coin system (daily check-in and optional rewarded ads).
On-device data
- Calculation history and favorites (SQLite).
- Theme, language, and local ad-frequency counters.
- Economy state: coin balance, unlocked tools, check-in streak/date, daily rewarded-watch count, and temporary ad-free expiry (AsyncStorage).
- Camera/gallery images for resistor color reading are not uploaded to our servers.
We do not operate an app account system or backend that receives your calculation history, coins, or photos.
Advertising (AdMob)
If ads are enabled and you are not in a temporary ad-free window, Google AdMob may show banner and interstitial ads. You may also choose to watch a rewarded ad (limited per day) to earn in-app coins.
Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and diagnostics per Google’s policies. Where supported, Electronics Toolkit & Calculator requests non-personalized ads.
Remote Config (optional Firebase)
If Firebase is configured, feature flags (for example ad cadence or a banner message) may be fetched from Google Firebase. Without Firebase files, built-in defaults and any cached values are used.
Permissions
- Camera — optional, for resistor color-band reading from a photo.
- Photos — system photo picker only; no broad gallery/storage permission.
- Internet / network state — ads (including rewarded), Remote Config, and opening privacy/support/rate links.
Children
Electronics Toolkit & Calculator is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the applicable age in your country without a parent/guardian.
Your choices
- Clear calculation history in Settings.
- Use check-in / rewarded coins or temporary ad-free options in Settings (local; no purchase required).
- Disable personalized ads in Android system settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove local data (including coins and unlocks).
